So I haven’t been writing any new poems lately but I have been deeply depressed and I think too depressed to even write. Now as I’m getting older I feel as if I’m having less alone time to just sit and write. Now it’s working alot, cleaning the house, leaving domestic violence (relationship). Life is killing me!
There was no one to tell
and nowhere to hide
I kept the pain to myself

Happy new year, I hope everybody enjoyed themselves on the last day of 2015 to bring in the new year.
Anyway, I have been working really hard on my second book. This book has to be perfect, okay maybe not completely perfect because nothing is really perfect. But it has to be better than my first published poetry book. The book cover is the only thing really holding me back right now of publishing my work.
I really need to get the ball rolling ha-ha……
Well hello there; my name is Candy Ann, well that is my pen name for publishing and my alias for modeling. I was born May 29, 1992 in Akron, Ohio to Kimberly and Ricky. I had grew up in the suburbs of Green township with my mom, little sister, and older brother. Though, my mother never wanted to stay at one place for too long, so we moved every 12 months.
At age 10 I had wrote my first short poem, It was titled, “Our Flag”. I had became more comfortable in writing poetry around the age 12 years old, when my stepfather had passed away. Poetry had then became my comfort-zone and a reason to escape reality. It had helped me deal with my severe depression, mixed emotions, and my bizarre thought pattern.
I had grew up in between two cities my whole life pretty much. The city of Green and Ellet. 7th grade in Akron, I had became a “troubled teen” and had became out of hand. Bringing illegal weapons to school and death threats for my best friend at the time. Constantly I was in and out of in-school suspension, and detention.
After 8th grade graduation in Green, I moved back to Ellet with my mother and little sister. My mother agreed to home school me as I didn’t want to attend any high school in Akron. Then I started to miss a lot of school and my school work had began to slip. Just failing every single one of my subjects, not like I even cared anyway then.In 2011, I had dropped out of high school, still being a freshman in high school.
In 2010, my mother had went to prison and my little sister got taken away to go live with our aunt. My brother wasn’t coming around me much often then either. Just felt as if I had nothing else to live for. Lost pretty much everything that ever meant anything to me.
It’s now the year 2015, and current I’m 23 years old. I had moved back to my hometown; Akron, Ohio to reside with my father. Back in July of 2013, I had published my first poetry book. Currently working on my second poetry book to publish hopefully soon and then I can move onto some bigger and better things this new year!!
